The
Tuscarawas County Genealogical Society
is located at 307 Center Street in Dennison.
The society was founded in 1968 in New Philadelphia,
and possesses an astounding collection of
early Tuscarawas County historical documents,
as well as Moravian history. Members
can research records which include county
court records, birth and death certificates,
marriage certificates, deeds, wills, etc.
These documents can be accessed both on microfilm
and original documents. The society
houses over 6,000 books of local historical
information, including newspapers from Dennison,
Uhrichsville, Newcomerstown, Strasburg, and
Sugarcreek.
