The village of Dennison is located in the east-central section of Tuscarawas County.  The community continues in importance as a center for the vitrified pipe and related clay industry.  One of the two general hospitals within the county is located at Dennison.  The community is centrally located to several major recreational facilities of the Muskingum Watershed District
